MOUNT EVEREST VIEW TREK

Mount Everest View Trek encompasses you through the Khumbu region where you can relish the awe-inspiring glimpse of mightiest Mt. Everest (8,848m), glorious Sherpa culture and lifestyle, medieval monasteries and the tranquil vicinity of Everest Base Camp. The trek starts with your flight to Lukla (1,350m) from Kathmandu. You will trek uphill towards beautiful Namche Bazaar (3,440m) via Phakding and enter the Sagarmatha National Park; the first national park of Nepal to be listed in UNESCO Site in 1979. Namche Bazaar is a popular tourist hub and staging point to initiate the trips in Khumbu region. The trekking trials are embellished with prayer flags bequeathing the feel of Sherpa culture. We will hike up to Khumjung via Everest view hotel where we can witness the glorious Sherpa culture and tradition. The highlights of Mount Everest View Trek are the insight into Sherpa community, exploration of medieval monasteries, Gumbas, and close view of Mt. Everest. Furthermore, our trek ends with the trek down to Lukla and flight to Kathmandu city.

  • Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu, (1,350m).

    After you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, Index Adventure will pick you up. We will then drop you at the hotel. Once you are freshened up, we will brief you about the trek. After some lunch or snacks, you can stroll around the Kathmandu Valley.

  • Day 2: Fly to Lukla (2,800m) 30 mins and trek to Phakding (2,652m) 3 hrs. walk.

    On the second day of the trek, we will fly from Kathmandu to Lukla. The 30 minutes flight in a twin otter is beautiful and daunting at the same time. Once we reach Lukla, we will start our trekking journey to Phakding. A 3 hours walk through a beautiful village and with fascinating views of the mountains will take us to Phakding.

  • Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m). 5 - 6 hrs. walk.

    5-6 hours trek from Phakding to Namche Bazar is a beautiful journey. The trail has a lot of steady uphill climb through stone staircases. Passing through the village of Monjo, we will enter the Sagarmatha National Park. The resting spot for the night in Namche Bazar, which is the gateway to Mt. Everest.

  • Day 4: Rest Day at Namche Bazaar Visit Khumjung Village, via Mount everst view Hotel 4-5hrs walk.

    This day will be a rest day at Namche Bazar. Hiking to Khumjung Via Everest view hotel, we can experience the Sherpa culture and lifestyle. The total hike includes 4-5 hours of walk. We can witness Chorten, Gumbas, colorful prayer flags and taste delicious mountainous cuisines along the journey. From Everest view hotel, we can see witness Khumbila peak, Mt. Everest, and many other peaks.after back sleep at Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 5: Trek down to Lukla (2,800m). 6 - 8 hrs. walk.

    After spending a day at Namche Bazar and Khumjung village, we will descend down to Lukla. We will cross the Dudh Koshi River once again, and pass through the ecstatic landscape with scenic mountain views. The day includes 6-8 hours of walk.

  • Day 6: Fly Back to Kathmandu.

    On this day, we will fly back to Kathmandu to Lukla. We can enjoy the aerial view of the majestic mountains as the undulating hills once again. On reaching Kathmandu, we can visit some of the heritage sites like Basantapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square or Swayambhunath Nath Stupa. We will have a farewell dinner with authentic Nepali cuisine to celebrate the successful short trek.
