Tilicho Lake with Annapurna Circuit trek encompasses you to the world’s highest lake Tilicho (4,970m) and the world’s widest pass; Thorang La Pass (5,416m). Tilicho Lake with Annapurna Circuit trek is no less than an adventure paradise for adrenaline rushers. This 16 days trek initiates as you arrive in Kathmandu and set on your trek initiating from Syange and follows the trail to Dharapani, Chamje, Pisang, and Manang. The vicinity is inhabited by a wide variety of people belonging to different ethnic groups, yet the majority follows the Tibetan lifestyle. You will be given an acclimatization day at Manang to warm yourself up for the trek to Thorong La Pass and straight 3 days of trek o Tilicho. After crossing Thorong La Pass, we will reach out to Muktinath; a scared pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. After Muktinath, we will head towards Poonhill where our trek would end. The key features of this short yet rewarding trek are panoramic views of Annapurna range, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Machhapuchhre etc, exploration of Tilicho Lake and Muktinath temple, insight to Tibetan culture and sheer landscapes.
Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu (1,350m).
Our team will pick you up at the airport and welcome you with our kindest greetings. Then, you will be escorted to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Syange/Jagat.
You will head on a long drive to Syange, early in the morning. After about 8-10 hours, you will reach the countryside in Syange and continue to walk for about 2 hours until you reach Jagat (1,100m). Overnight at Jagat.
Day 3: Chamje to Bagarchhap.
This uphill trek from Chamje to Bagarchhap (2,160m) of overall 7 hours takes you through a rocky trail alongside Marsayangdi River. You will walk through Tal, the starting village of Manang district, en route. You will ascend the stone staircases leading you to Dharapani crossing which you finally reach Bagarchhap. Overnight at Bagarchhap.
Day 4: Bagarchhap to Chame (6-7 Hours).
Today’s trek will take you through lush forests, and often rough and rocky trails till you reach Chame (2,630 m), headquarter of Manang district. This place allows you to see the amazing view of Annapurna (8,091m) without obstructions. You will spend the night in Chame.
Day 5: Chame to Pisang (6 hours).
You will trek through steep and narrow valley till you get the glimpse of Paungda Danda. Then, the trail ascends till to Pisang (3,300m). Overnight in Pisang.
Day 6: Pisang to Manang (6-7 Hours).
Leaving Pisang, you will continue walking the upper part of this Manang district. Following a dry and rough trail, you will reach the beautiful village of Manang (3,500m) after average trekking of 7 hours. Overnight in Manang.
Day 7: Acclimatization.
You will rest for the day in Manang in order to acclimatize to the increasing altitude. For the day, you can walk around the place and interact with people, learn about their culture and their way of living.
Day 8: Manang to Siri Kharka (4-5 Hours).
Today, you will only walk for 4-5 hours until Siri Kharka (4,060m). You will head out through the western gates of Manang towards Kangsar village. Upon further walking, you reach Sri Kharka. Overnight in Siri Kharka.
Day 9: Sri Kharka to Tilicho Base Camp (5-6 Hours).
You might have to walk through landslide-prone areas, but this trail isn’t that difficult to conquer. You might as well walk through narrow paths, but the surrounding is full of beauty and sights which makes those hinders less terrifying. In about 5-6 hours, you will reach Tilicho Base Camp (4,140m) where you will stay the night.
Day 10: Visit the Tilicho Lake then back to SriKharka (9-10 Hours).
Today, you ascend towards the beautiful Tilicho Lake (4,949m). The turquoise lake reflecting the surrounding barren hills makes it a mesmerizing sight to witness. You will spend some time around the pristine lake, after which you will head back to Siri Kharka on that very day. Overnight at Siri Kharka.
Day 11: SriKharka to Yak Kharka (4-5 Hours).
Passing through the thousand years old Tare Gumba, which holds important value to the locals, you descend to finally make a stop in Yak Kharka (4,040m). Overnight at Yak Kharka.
Day 12: Yak Kharka to Phedi or High camp (6-7 hours).
First, the trail descends and then it ascends until Phedi (4,420m). You will walk up to High Camp (4,600m) as there are some good guest houses where you will stay for the night.
Day 13: Phedi or High Camp to Muktinath (9-10 Hours).
Today, you will reach the highest altitude of the trek in Thorong La Pass (5,416m). To reach Muktinath (3,710m), you pass through the Thorong La Pass which is quite heavily covered with snow which might trouble you a little. After about four hours of climbing, you will reach the top of the pass which allows you to have an astonishing view of the entire terrain. Then, finally, you visit Muktinath, the holy temple of Hindu devotees, and have a bath at the 108 spouts of the temple.
Day 14: Drive from Muktinath to Pokhara (9-10 Hours).
You trek is almost over as you leave Mustang district to drive back to Pokhara.
Day 15: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
Your journey concludes as you drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara following the same scenic route as before.
Day 16: Departure.
