Situated at an elevation of 3210m Ghorepani Poon Hill - short trek bestowing some of the absolute mountain sceneries, alluring ethnic village, and dense forest embellished with rhododendron is one of the most popular treks in Annapurna region. This 7 days short trek begins from drive to Nayapul from Pokhara and then trek heads to Hile where you will be spending your night. Next day you will trek uphill towards Ghorepani; charming Gurung village offering the breathtaking 360ᵒ views of Mt. Annapurna. Our trek continues towards Poon hill and ends at trek back to Nayapul. The major highlights of Ghorepani Poon Hill trek are the magnificent view of sunset and sunrise from the Poon Hill viewpoint, incredible mountain views including Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South and Annapurna ranges, lush green forests embellished with exotic flora and fauna, small streams, exploration of ethnic Gurung village and their lifestyle. Though the trek can be done throughout the year, spring and autumn are considered to be the best season to truly embrace the trek.

Today we leave Kathmandu and fly (25 min) or drive (6-7 hours) to Pokhara, another great city of Nepal. The feature of this day is traveling with the company of rumbling rivers and lush green hills apace with an obvious Himalayan backdrop.

After a pleasant breakfast in the beautiful Pokhara city, we ride for an hour to Nayapul, a bridge that kicks off our trekking expedition. Following the rivers, we hike parallel to many quaint settlements, rice fields, and waterfalls till we reach Hile to rest for the night.

Buckle up for a steep uphill stone staircase climb of more than 3,500 steps (4-5 hours) up to Ulleri with the view of giant Annapurna South. The fatigue will soon disappear as we enter the brilliant rhododendron forests, colorful flowers crossing small streams until we reach Ghorepani.

Rise and shine for the pre-dawn trek of one hour ascending to our destination point Poon hill to be blessed by the diorama of the world’s prominent Himalayas turning golden as the rays of the early sun touches the crust. This auspicious day is the same day we take a return trip back to Nayapul and then to Pokhara.

Wake up for a hot breakfast in Pokhara and we ride back to Kathmandu city. The remaining hours can be spent with some last-minute exploring of the capital city, shopping for memento and packing. Farewell dinner with fellow trip mates.
