The descent into Muktinath brings a different kind of reward, a sacred site where Hindu and Buddhist traditions meet at eternal flames and holy water springs, before the hot springs at Tatopani give your muscles the recovery they've been asking for.
The final stretch winds through rhododendron forests toward Ghorepani, with a sunrise hike up Poon Hill offering sweeping views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges a fitting close to 15 days and roughly 205 kilometers of one of the world's great mountain walks.
