Day 01: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and Trek to Phakding

Our short 5 days Everest Base Camp trek itinerary starts off with our flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is one of the main attractions of the Everest Base Camp trek.
Starting off your adventurous trip with this beautiful experience is a blissful experience. Our Everest Base Camp trek 5 days is off to a grand start with the picturesque views from the infamous Lukla flight.
As you wait to reach your Everest Base Camp Trek 5 days starting point, you will be mesmerized by the views of nature from your flight. As you look to your left you can enjoy the amazing and unique landscapes along with the glorious mountains covered in snow. Glowing as the sun rays hit them, they are the main focus of this scenic flight.
After this mesmerizing flight of 40 minutes, you will reach Lukla. This is our starting point for trekking as per our Everest Base Camp trek itinerary. Trekking from Lukla to Phakding, we shall start our Everest Base Camp trek 5 days with great adventures ahead of us.
Day 02: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Maximum Altitude: 3,440 m
After a good night’s sleep and a filled stomach at Phakding, we shall now head to Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is a popular destination among trekkers and tourists. Filled with rich culture and traditions along with a wide variety of unique goods is what makes Namche Bazaar a popular destination among the trekkers.
We shall leave Phakding and head towards Namche Bazaar through the beautiful trails passing through the lush Rhododendron forests and numerous waterfalls and suspension bridges. Finally reaching Namche Bazaar after 5-6 hours of trekking, you can feel engrossed in the cultural diversity and the hospitality of the people. There are numerous things for you to experience in this small settlement. Especially the marketplace with the most unique products and activities to try.
We shall spend the night in Namche Bazaar at a tea house in the beautiful settlement.
Day 03: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Syangboche
Maximum Altitude: 3,790 m
Leaving the beautiful and diverse settlement of the Namche Bazaar, we shall head towards Syangboche. The way from Namche Bazaar to Syangboche is filled with amazing views and adventures.
Leaving Namche Bazaar, you can admire the beautiful views of the glorious mountains including Mount Everest and its neighboring peaks like the Lhotse and Nuptse.
As you head uphill towards Syangboche, you can experience a wide range of the lifestyle and culture of the people in the region. Starting from chortens and prayer wheels along with monasteries dating back centuries, you get to experience a religious and cultural side of the region.
Also, as you go further up, you can also see the amazing green pasture land with the yaks and sheeps grazing. This is a peaceful and relaxing sight to see.
You will reach Syangboche after 2-3 hours trekking uphill. The main attraction in Syangboche is the Everest View Hotel deemed as the highest hotel in the world as it is at an altitude of 3880 meters. We shall spend the night in Syangboche and rest up for the big event tomorrow.
Day 04: Helicopter Ride to Everest Base Camp and Fly Back to Lukla
Maximum Altitude: 5,643 m
Today is the big day. Today is the day we shall get to experience the helicopter ride view of the Everest Base Camp. with the helicopter ride, the views are so much more clear and the experience much more lavish. So prepare yourself for the adventure of a lifetime.
Starting your day with a warm breakfast at Syangboche, you will board on the helicopter and begin your adventure. Starting from the beautiful view of the mountains and the small villages, you will slowly head towards the Everest Base Camp.
You will be able to enjoy the eagle-eye view of the Everest Base Camp as you fly over the base camp in the helicopter. Slowly you get to enjoy the beautiful and amazing views of the Khumbu Glacier, Everest Base Camp, and Everest mountain along with Kalapathar. The panoramic view of the mountains will win you over and have you speechless.
Your helicopter ride is bound to land at Gorak Shep but you can choose to stop at Kalapathar at an altitude of 5643 meters as well for the beautiful view of the Everest mountain along with other peaks like Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Ama Dablam, etc.
After the beautiful adventure of admiring the mesmerizing and glorious views, you will return to Lukla. From Kalapathar, your helicopter ride will take you back straight to Lukla.
Day 05: Flight to Kathmandu from Lukla

Maximum Altitude: 1400 m
