Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu via Tribhuvan International Airport

Day 02: Drive to Syabrubesi from Kathmandu

After your breakfast, you will take an early drive to Syabrubesi. Syabrubesi is the starting point of your trek. You will take a local bus or a private jeep from Kathmandu. The scenic drive will take about 7-8 hours. You will pass through many settlements and along with the ride you will see their drastic variation.

The scenery of vegetation and landscape also keeps changing. First, you will travel through plain lands with colorful vegetation. Then will come the narrow lanes surrounded by high green as well as barren hills. You also head into the deeper rural face of Nepal within these adventurous roads.

Syabrubesi is a settlement with good hotels around having basic facilities. You will stay at a hotel overnight.

Day 03: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel

Your trek to Langtang-Gosaikunda officially begins today from Syabrubesi. This day is going to be hectic as you ascend the elevation of 1070 meters.

Your travel begins with crossing the mighty Trishuli River. You will cross suspension bridges many times. Then comes the plain paths through lush forest. You will pass through spots like Pahiro and Bamboo. Gradually, you will ascend barren uphill towards the Lama Hotel. As you step forward, the pristine Langtang region opens up. You will observe the lifestyle and culture of locals influenced by Tibetans.

Day 04: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Valley

The scene starts getting better and more beautiful. The mesmerizing view of sub-ranges like Langtang Lirung and Naya Kang starts appearing. They will welcome you with the fresh breeze and picturesque views. You will also pass the settlements of Thomna, Ghortabela, and Thayasyap. Day 05: Trek from Langtang Valley to Kyanjin Gompa

Leaving Langtang Valley, you walk forward to the ultimate Langtang destination; Kyanjin Gompa. Compared to other days, this day is shorter and will rise an ascent of 460 meters. You will begin the ascent after breakfast. This is crucial as the altitude is high. If you don’t take enough carbs & proteins, you might get AMS. So just remember to stay hydrated and take proper care of your body.

As you reach Kyanjin Gompa you will have enough time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Kyanjin Valley is a culturally rich village with significant settlements of the Langtang region. You can take a tour of the village. Also, you can visit the local cheese factory and try their famous delicacies. Overnight at Kyanjin Gompa will be another awesome night.

Day 06: Rest and Acclimatization at Kyanjin Gompa

Now you have explored the Langtang Valley so you head to Gosaikunda. You trek back to Lama Hotel from Kyanjin and continue. You retrace your steps back to the beautiful villages with snowy mountain ranges.

This day is a long journey as you will walk many hours and make a descent of 1430 meters. Like before, the outstanding flora and fauna will amaze you. You can encounter wildlife like Himalayan Sheep (Naurs) and countless birds on the way.

Day 08: Trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru

Max. Altitude: 2230m, Thulo Syabru

Trek Duration: 6-7 hours

Walking Distance: 13.1KM

From today, you will head towards the routes on the other side of the Langtang Region. However, half of today’s trail will be of earlier days upto Pahiro. On your way to Thulo Syabru, you pass the settlements of Bamboo village ad Syabrubesi.

You will cross suspension bridges over the Trishuli. Gradually you will walk uphill full of stony stairs. The way is full of dark and dense forests full of oak, pine, and bamboo.

Within 6-7 hours, you will reach Thulo Syabru. It is a beautiful settlement of Langtang with rich Tamang culture and religion. The settlement has the road access so you can expect good basic facilities. Here, you can also take a village tour and try delicious local cuisines.

Day 09: Trek from Thulo Syabru to Shin Gompa/Chadanbaari

Max. Altitude: 3330m, Sing Gompa

Trek Duration: 5-6 hours

Walking Distance: 6.8 KM

Your day will start with majestic views of landscapes and surrounding green hills. You will finish your breakfast and start walking. You will ascend the forests full of colorful rhododendrons. This part of the trek is very scenic and naturally beautiful. You have to be careful as the paths are narrow and straight uphill.

After walking for hours, you will reach the ridge of Phoprang Danda, at 3190m. Phoprang is a popular hill for majestic mount panoramas and fresh breeze. Again, you will walk through a typical sub-tropical forest full of rhododendrons. You can even spot some rare wild species on the way.

After walking 6.8 kilometers and ascending 1040m, you reach Shin Gompa or Chandanbari for overnight. This is a famous spot along the Gosaikunda route. You can visit the ancient Buddhist stupa and cheese factory nearby. The natural surroundings are majestic and breathtaking.

Day 10: Trek to Gosaikunda Lake

Morning at Chandanbari is another refreshing moment. After breakfast, you will start ascending along the stairs. On the way, many mount ranges start appearing and look appealing. You will pass a beautiful forest until you reach Chalang Pati. This is a good relaxing spot with some lodges. You also have the option for nightstay here.

Walking through serene forests again comes lane of stairs. These will take you to Lauribina Yak where you will have lunch. Watch out as Lauribina is supposed to be the habitat of rare red pandas. You will also have close majestic views of Manaslu, Annapurna, and Ganesh Himal.

From here, another part of the journey begins. The paths are straight uphill yet narrow. The ridges will be one of the adventurous paths you will ever walk. The steep hills will right be at your left and gorgeous streams on right. You will encounter mind-blowing Saraswati Kunda and Bhairav Kunda before Gosaikunda. You will stay at Gosaikunda today.

Gosaikunda is a gorgeous lake with mighty Hindu legends. There is also a small shrine of Lord Shiva. The view of snowcapped mountains above the clouds is just breathtaking. You will have the most wonderful stay here.

Day 11: Gosaikunda Lake to Gopte

Max. Altitude: 3420m, Gopte

Trek Duration: 6-7 hours

You will witness the most beautiful sunrise from Gosaikunda. The 360-degree panorama of high Himalayas touching the horizon looks simply incredible. The surroundings will be implicit and beautiful. But leaving good memories behind, you will head to the village of Gopte.

You will retrace the steps and descend at first to Lauribina Pass. After some rest, you will walk to the village of Gopte. Now, you head towards another side of Lauribina i.e Helambu Region. Walking 6-7 hours, you will reach Gopte for nightstay.

Day 12: Trek to Kutumsang

Max. Altitude: 2540m, Kutumsang

Another day full of ascent to Kutumsang comes up. You will walk mostly downhill through the lush sub-tropical forest filled with pines, bamboo, and ferns. The trip is energizing s you get the spectacular view of peaks like DorjeLakpa and Shisha Psangma. Descending for hours, you will reach Magin Goth and finally Kutumsang village. Kutumsang is a good stop with basic facilities for nightstay.

Day 13: Trek to Chisapani
